Prather Dominates Heartland Park SCCA Race
TOPEKA, Kansas (May 1, 2011) –
Kent Prather made it two-for-two Sunday, winning the SCCA National Club
Racing event in GT-Lite at Heartland Park Topeka.
Following a flag-to-flag victory at Hallett April 3, Prather duplicated
the feat in his No. 26 Prather Racing/Moss Motors/Goodyear Mazda Miata at
the 2.5-mile Heartland Park circuit. After setting the top GT-Lite
qualifying time of 1:49.014 in the morning, he drove to a commanding
victory, dicing with cars from other classes throughout the 18-lap race.
The
win gives last year’s Bronze medal winner from the National Championship
Runoffs 24 points to sit atop the Midwest Division SCCA Point Standings.
He currently sits seventh in the National point standings, behind drivers
that have at least four starts thus far in 2011.
The
next race for the Prather Racing Miata will be June 5 at Mid-America
Motorplex in Pacific Junction, Iowa.
Prather Racing would like to thank its sponsors for their continued
support, including ARP, Carbotech, Goodyear Tires, Mazdaspeed, Moss
Motors, Torco Advanced Lubricants, Total Seal Rings and Venolia Pistons.
