Prather Racing Cars Take Multiple Wins
and Three Track Records At Heartland National
Topeka, Kan. (June 5, 2005) -- Prather
Racing had a good weekend at the Heavenly Hazel KVRG Sprints at Heartland
Park June 4-5, taking three class wins and setting three new track records
in the process.
In group two, Kent Prather and his MGA came
out on top overall and in G Production after a race-long battle with Chris
Albin's Volkswagen. Kent also came away with the track record with a
blistering 1:40.890.
In F Production, Chris Bovis won in his
Prather-built Mazda Miata in a race which saw three separate leaders. Mark
Weber, who has Prather power under the hood of his Sprite, was second,
followed by Woody Smith's MG Midget with Prather Power and Ron Davis in
his Prather Racing MGB. Eric Prill, who led early in his Prather-tuned
Lotus Super Seven, took the F Production lap record with a 1:41.796.
Jesse Prather took another win driving Don
Christman's Mazda RX7 in GT-3, setting a new track record in the process
at 1:35.498.
Todd Prather had a great run in his Prather
Racing Spec Mazda Miata, running to a fifth-place finish in a field of 29
starters for his best-career finish.
